The Biofloc Technology (BFT) Working Group has thoroughly revised the Biofloc Section of the Aquacultural Engineering Society’s (AES) free website. The revised section contains most of the biofloc papers presented at past AES conferences, the latest news on BFT and articles on bioflocs from the Global Aquaculture Alliance’s magazine, The Global Aquaculture Advocate.

14/05/2013 - Seafood farming? Take to the seas!
If we are going to be able to increase food production as much as we need to in the future, it is time to look to the ocean to create large scale fish farming. This is the view of fisheries consultant, Erik Hempel, who spoke at the fourth International Symposium on Cage Aquaculture in Yeosu, Korea, at the end of last month.
14/05/2013 - ASC, GAA, GlobalGap agree to harmonize aquaculture standards, processes
The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), Global Aquaculture Association (GAA) and GlobalGap agreed Tuesday to develop a plan to harmonize their various sustainable seafood certification standards to reduce duplication between the programs and make it easier for producers and buyers to adopt certification programs.
